ESA European Seed Association concludes 2013 Congress in Warsaw with record attendance
ESA European Seed Association held its 2013 Annual Meeting and the European Seed Trade Meeting from 13 to 15 October in Warsaw, Poland.
With a record attendance of more than 850 registered participants, the ESA Annual Meeting is a key meeting for seeds men and seeds women not only from Europe but also from other continents. With an excellent location, highly interesting presentations from the seed sector as well as from many partners in the agri-food chain and more delegates from more companies and countries than ever, ESA already looks forward to the next gathering in Lisbon in 2014.
During the three days, ESA offered non-seed companies the possibility to present their activities with special exhibition booths to facilitate direct enquiries on technical equipment, around mechanical components, grain processing technologies or plant breeding software. Three of the fourteen exhibitors in total - yet another record - were from the host country Poland.
Next to the crop specific meetings of the ESA Sections and the General Assembly, an important role for the success of the meeting is played by the European Seed Trade Meeting. Participants from all around the world had the opportunity to meet, discuss, and exchange information over three days of intensive business talks.
Congress pictures are available on Facebook, comments and statements are posted on Twitter, directly addressing many of the horizontal items presented during the Section meetings. In total, over 50 tweets were sent during the 3 days which were frequently re-tweeted and appreciated by exhibitors as well as traders and section meeting attendees.
ESA once more thanks all participants and all guests for their attendance and enthusiasm which have made the event in Warsaw the most successful Annual Meeting ever.
We look forward to welcome you again in Lisbon, Portugal from 12 to 14 October 2014!
